Interclub Best of 20's competition

The award for the Best 20 point digital image trophy from the last season's 17 images which were awarded 20 points went to Gordon Quinn for his image  "Dawn Mist on the Ganges". Congratulations to Gordon for this success.

PAGB National Competition

The following is a letter sent to Stephen McEnaney on behalf of the YPU to congratulate him on the selection of one of his images for the above exhibition.

I am requested by Mrs Pat Reed, President Yorkshire Photographic Union, to congratulate you on your considerable success following the selection of one of your digital images from 1274 entries at the YPU Annual Exhibition to represent YPU to the PAGB Annual National Competition   To have your photograph selected by the YPU as one of those representing the organisation to the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain is in itself a significant achievement bearing in mind that nearly 2000 entries were examined by Judges for the YPU Annual Competition. Then, to have the PAGB select your  picture for their Annual Exhibition is an excellent achievement.

In effect, this places your digital image entitled:   “BLACK AND WHITE FOREVER”   amongst some of the most outstanding pictures in the United Kingdom during 2008/2009.

In due course you will receive from the Photographic Association of Great Britain a Certificate recognizing this achievement and a copy of the official Exhibition Catalogue which carries images of all the successful acceptances.   The Chairman and Committee of Wetherby & District Camera Club are very pleased to add their congratulations to those of the YPU and PAGB and feel sure that in this sentiment they are joined by all members of the Club.
