Welcome to the March newsletter, we have changed the format slightly this month, your comments good and bad would be appreciated.

  Specsavers LectureAdventures of a Wildlife Photographer 


Simon Roy is this year’s Specsavers speaker on Tuesday 16th March (7.25pm), his talk is entitled “Adventures of a Wildlife Photographer”


All members have been allocated a place, a special zoom code solely for the evenings lecture will be emailed out shortly.


Members who do not normally join us on Zoom, please can we ask that you join us on the 2nd or 9th March, so you are up to speed with how it will work on the night.


All our spare places (45) that we offered to other clubs in the YPU have been allocated. This has raised some great interest from outside the club.

2nd March – Zoom Lecture "Direction(s)" – Sara Cremer LRPS

I am predominantly self taught landscape and seascape photographer. I live in Yorkshire but part of the joy I get from photography combining it with travel so I find I photograph across the UK. 



9th March  – Ingram 6 – Record & General Architecture – Judging Mike Barnard  LRPS CPAGB

16th March – Annual Specsavers Lecture – Simon Roy – Adventures of a Wildlife Photographer





23rd March – Review of the Season, Awards evening & AGM 

We are going to have a review of the leading Images from the competitions held this season followed by the awards of the various trophies and then the AGM



Monthly Project / Challenge


The monthly project will continue until September. The Project images, Three images per Members - These will be due in by midnight on the Sunday prior to the review date.


The subject for the April monthly project will be announced on the AGM night, and subsequently each month’s project will be revealed on the review evening. The Project is "Has Wings". Emailed to Brian Cooper by midnight on the 9th May 2021.

Brian C has been working hard preparing next year’s programme, a Draft outline is available on the programmes tab.
